Do nice things for colleagues without them knowing (even if you don’t like them!). Anything from doing the washing up or unloading the dishwasher in the staff kitchen- but they key is not to tell anyone or do it in front of them. At Christmas my work does something called ‘Secret Friend’ where you draw names out of a hat like Secret Santa but the difference is, for a week you have to do nice things for a colleague without them knowing who you are, like make them a cup of tea and put it in their desk just before they arrive in the morning, decorate their computer, find out what they like and leave them relevant little presents every day etc. It makes being at work such a nice experience! You get to know people that you perhaps didn’t before or have to do lots of nice things for someone you don’t like (!) and it also feels nice to have someone looking after you too!
