Love eBook for Love Amateurs

This has been a bad week for love and cracking one for fear. In the words of the psychoanalyst Donald Winnicott in his writing about Democracy, “fear simplifies the emotional situation”.

Rather than scuttling  into the shadows to the left or right, all I feel I can do is to try to think about it. With you.

The #LoveAmateurs campaign (tagline: How to live together in a messed up world)  offers you this Book of Love.

Written by a group of bonafide amateurs, from how to love under capitalism to a rallying cry for flirting, this is our contribution to you.

Think about it as a clumsy hug from someone you think is quite funny but a bit weird.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be offering selected ideas from the book and hope to encourage you to tell us what you know or what you want to know about love. Questions and ideas will then be discussed at an event on the 13th February at the Freud Museum in London.

In the meantime you could treat yourself and download the eBook and book a place for Love: A Guide for Amateurs.

Awww go on, we need all the help we can get from each other.
