Tackling the Transnationals

Mineworkers Around the World: taking on the giants and winning
Independent Working Class Education Day School

On the 8th July Surviving Work will be offering some thoughts about the global fight to tackle transnational companies in the mining sector.

This Independent Working Class Education Day School will give us all an insight into the way the Global Multinationals operate, and what we can do to stop their nonsense.

We’ll start at 11.00, with lunch provided, and feature Elizabeth Cotton, whose co-authored book Global Unions Global Business is described as ‘the essential guide to international trade unionism’ and other speakers TBC.

Everyone gets a shout in this Day School, and it should prepare us all for the Big Meeting the next day. We end at 4pm. Meeting is £5 includes lunch pay on the day.

This workshop will take place on the 8th July in Durham as part of the Durham Miners’ Gala and is organized by the Independent Working Class Education Network.
