Understand your own motivation to work. And make sure that you differentiate clearly between intrinsic and extrinsic goals…
Ask yourself, is the work I’m doing intrinsically worthwhile?
Am I doing this to get paid?
If not, is the cause I’m serving deserving?
Or are my goals extrinsic?
Am I working to get noticed? To gain acceptance? Approval? Etc.
If so, you’re almost certain to be disappointed…
